Pontiac Muscle Car - Pontiac Le Mans GTThe Le Mans GT was an option from 1972 to 1975 and 1977. The Le Mans GT package was not offered for the 1976 model year. Replacing the previous 1970 and 1971 GT-37 option package the 72 model featured the new "Le Mans GT" option, available on Le Mans pillared and hardtop coupes with any V8 ranging from the 350 two-barrel to the 455 HO four-barrel. The Le Mans GT option package included a three-speed heavy duty manual transmission, dual exhaust with chrome extensions, 14 X 7 inch Rally II wheels (without trim rings), G70-14 wide oval white lettered tires, vinyl tape GT body side stripe, GT decal on the trunk lid above the passenger side tail light, body colored outside rear view sport mirrors and wheel opening moldings. |
